Pandemia y Trastornos obsesivos

El efecto de la pandemia está notándose de manera intensa en las personas que sufren normalmente de algún tipo de síntomas en la esfera ansioso-obsesiva. Los temores en forma de pensamientos obsesivos intrusivos que habitualmente forman parte de su vida diaria, así como las dudas constantes acerca de su bienestar y su seguridad, han aumentado exponencialmente.

La ratificación de la existencia real de una amenaza constante a nuestra seguridad y bienestar personal, hace que resulte mucho más difícil la eficacia de una confrontación dialéctica o reestructuración cognitiva, en el ámbito de las técnicas cognitivo-conductuales, de probada validación terapeútica para este tipo de problemáticas.

Niños, adolescentes y adultos que ya habían aprendido a menajar y regular sus pensamientos y emociones, están acusando ahora una sensación de indefensión e impotencia que no les deja llevar las riendas.

Es por ello que considero que una intervención combinada con EMDR puede ser el complemento que consiga, desde esa asociación interna psíquica, que la persona crea y se convenza de su capacidad de afrontamiento a esa realidad. Una inicial desensibilización de la sintomatología de ansiedad, angustia y miedo que bloquean la actividad cotidiana y que interrumpen el sueño y el bienestar personal y relacional es una base segura para poder utilizar después técnicas de superficie, y que sí resulten válidas.

La diferencia es, ni más ni menos, poder recuperar la capacidad de autoregulación y manejo de toda la sintomatología (pensamientos y duda obsesiva, rituales de comprobación o mágicos, ansiedad, miedo a contagio, miedo a enfermedades, etc,..), para poder hacer una vida normal y seguir afrontando y adaptándose a la circunstancia que nos está tocando vivir.
